I am counting down the days for my husbands birthday bash! As I mentioned in a few posts earlier I'd show you my simple birthday decorating tips. And don't worry there is more to come.
Let me tell you, this is a simple classic party theme fit for any celebration. You can't go wrong!
I'll post pictures below but you'll notice there are only a few items you will be needing to get this party started Lundan's way. 1. Butcher paper (you can find this at your local craft store, very inexpensive and an easy clean up) 2. Tape 3. Permanent marker (I used black but gold and silver actually show on the butcher paper) 4. Twine (again you can find this for inexpensive at your local craft store) 5. A little creativity
So let's get started. I took my butcher paper, drew one flag first and traced the rest so it was easier to cut. Tip: I counted ahead of time how many letters 'Happy Birthday Javier' was and that way I could move in a faster pace. Then I took my permanent marker and proceeded to write the letters in caps. I added a few extra decoration on the flags but you can do what your heart desires...go crazy! I took my flag cut outs and with my scissors (be careful) instead of purchasing a punch hole I used the tip of the blade to make a whole large enough for the twine to fit through. Then to make sure the paper flags didn't curl up over night I took the box our sons play pin came in to cut out cardboard flags. All I did was use tape to hold these together. Finally I threaded the twine in the holes I made and really got creative with where I wanted to hang the Happy Birthday sign.
This was super easy to do, I already had the materials on hand from Christmas and my husband loves his birthday decorations. What I love about this type of decor, it isn't themed! You can reuse this...absolutely classic. I'll probably use this at our sons first birthday! Growing so fast!
If you have questions or feedback I'd love to hear! There will be more to come later this weekend with more party tips. We are ready for our birthday bash Lundan's House style!
